Allengra's ultrasonic time-of-flight sensors have no moving parts, eliminating wear, drift, and maintenance required by turbine or paddle wheel meters. By measuring acoustic transit time in both flow directions, they deliver high accuracy across wide ranges without pressure drop or obstruction. This non-invasive design ensures long-term stability and reliability for demanding OEM applications where total cost of ownership matters.

Our sensors are optimized for clean to slightly contaminated liquids with predictable acoustic properties including water, glycol mixtures, oils, and many industrial fluids. Performance depends on acoustic impedance, viscosity, and particle content; highly aerated, multiphase, or opaque slurries may require application review. We work closely with OEMs during the specification phase to validate compatibility and ensure optimal sensor configuration for each fluid type.

Allengra sensors are factory-calibrated and deliver accurate measurements immediately upon installation in most applications. Field calibration is not required under normal operating conditions, though verification against a reference standard is recommended during commissioning for critical systems. Our time-of-flight principle inherently compensates for temperature and ensures measurement stability over the product's operational life.

Yes. Allengra sensors support multiple industry-standard output formats including I²C, UART, PWM, and analog signals, enabling seamless integration with PLCs, microcontrollers, SCADA systems, and embedded platforms. We provide comprehensive technical documentation, reference designs, installation kits, and application support to accelerate integration timelines.

With no moving parts and robust solid-state construction, Allengra sensors are designed for operational lifespans exceeding 10 years in typical industrial and HVAC environments. Actual lifespan depends on operating conditions such as fluid compatibility, temperature cycling, and installation quality. Our sensors undergo extensive endurance testing to ensure they meet the reliability expectations of mission-critical applications.

MID type approval covers the complete meter in its final configuration, so it is handled per program rather than as a blanket certification. The measurement platform meets the accuracy and stability requirements behind the relevant MID annexes, such as MI-001 for water meters and MI-004 for thermal energy meters. For OEM projects that need MID compliance, we plan the approval route together with the customer during the specification phase.

Allengra sensors operate from standard low-voltage DC power supplies. The input voltage range and current consumption vary by model and output interface; exact specifications are provided in each product datasheet. The sensors use energy-efficient electronics and contain no moving parts. Ultra-low-power operating modes are also available for battery-powered OEM applications.

The range depends on the model. Micro flow meters resolve the very low flows needed for precise dosing, L-Type meters cover spans such as 10-2,500 l/h and 40-8,600 l/h, and the ALSONIC XL measures from 9 l/h up to 60,000 l/h. Each datasheet lists the exact minimum and maximum flow rates per nominal diameter, and the time-of-flight principle keeps accuracy stable at both ends of the span.

Current capacity is in the million sensors per year. Manufacturing runs through qualified ISO-certified partners in a worldwide, multiple-source supply chain, while most of the production steps and final testing, calibration, and quality control take place at our own facilities. The same structure covers everything from prototype batches to high-volume OEM programs.

We mainly produce our sensors in our facility situated in Oradea, Romania.

Every sensor is calibrated on reference flow rigs at the factory before shipment, so no field calibration is required under normal operating conditions. Products also go through endurance, temperature-cycling, and vibration testing as part of our ISO 9001 quality process. Where the application demands it, sensors are tested and certified against specific standards, for example EN IEC 60335-2-40 for use in propane (R290) heat pumps.

Yes. Allengra sensors support analog signals, PWM, UART, I²C, and Modbus, so they connect to the controllers already in use with mechanical or vortex meters. A retrofit usually improves low-flow accuracy and turndown ratio and removes the maintenance that comes with moving parts. Our engineering team helps match housings, fittings, and signal behavior to the existing installation.
