KNOWLEDGE BASE

Both depend on the degree of customization and the phase of the program. Evaluation samples and development kits ship quickly for qualified projects. For deeper understanding feasibilities studied are offered with functional samples. Volume commitments and ramp-up timelines are agreed during the specification phase, so the fastest way to a concrete schedule is to contact our sales team with your need and target quantities.

It depends on the scope. Adaptations of existing platforms, such as connector, output, or calibration changes, usually carry little or no setup cost. Custom developments that need dedicated engineering work, for example new housings, flow bodies, or application-specific firmware, may involve a one-time engineering contribution. Feasibility studies and industrialization is quoted transparently after reviewing the requirements.

All of the above. OEM programs can cover housing designs and fittings, flow body geometry, output signals (analog, PWM, UART, I²C, Modbus, CAN, LIN), custom calibration profiles for specific fluids and ranges, application-specific firmware, and private labeling. High-volume programs can extend to co-development of fully integrated flow modules. Our engineering team supports the work from concept through serial production.

Yes. We manage the complete development chain in-house, from concept and prototyping through validation and serial production, and several catalogue products started as custom requests, among them flow meters for all kinds of liquids, hydrogen measurement, and R290 leak detection. If the fluid, flow range, or environment is unusual, our engineering team assesses feasibility in a technical consultation.

Three factors drive the decision: how closely a standard platform matches the requirements, the projected volumes, and the timeline. When an existing sensor fits with minor adaptations, the standard route is faster and cheaper for low quantities. Full custom development makes sense when the application needs a unique form factor, fluid, or certification scope and the volumes justify the engineering effort; we evaluate both options with the customer during the specification phase.

Products are designed to comply with CE, RoHS, and REACH as a baseline, within an ISO 9001 quality management system. Application-specific certifications, such as EN IEC 60335-2-40 for R290 heat pumps, ATEX, UL, or MID type approval, are pursued per program depending on the target market. For OEM projects, the certification strategy is planned together with the customer from the start, so the final integrated product passes its own approvals without surprises.
