Allengra ALSONIC Brass and Plastic Sizes

Our ALSONIC Flow Meters are known for their reliability and efficiency that they provide to any application they encounter, coming in two variants: Plastic and Brass. Utilizing Ultrasonic Technology, these sensors set a new standard for performance in the world of flow meters.

Conventional flow meters encounter a multitude of issues that diminishes the overall efficiency, leading to inaccuracies or potential failure.

Disadvantages of Using Conventional Flow Meters:

  1. Pressure Drop: Mechanical flow meters can often create a significant pressure drop within a system, due to the obstruction caused by the moving parts within the fluid’s flow.
  2. Wear and Tear: Conventional flow meters rely on mechanical moving parts, which degrade over time, reducing the accuracy ratio, demanding more frequent maintenance interventions or in some cases, can lead to failures.
  3. Complex Installation: The installation process of a conventional flow meter can be quite complex, requiring careful alignment and calibration to ensure accurate measurements, thus any misalignment can cause significant measurement errors.
  4. Accuracy and Precision: Mechanical components are susceptible to produce inaccuracies in the data provided caused by vibrations, friction or fluid viscosity

Allengra provides cost-effective solutions for a wide range of applications through its ALSONIC Ultrasonic Flow Meters, which are more reliable, accurate, and efficient than conventional flow meters.

Advantages of using Allengra’s ALSONIC series

  1. No Moving Parts: These Ultrasonic Flow Meters operate without the need of mechanical moving parts, eliminating the wear and tear factor, resulting in a longer lifespan and fewer maintenance interventions.
  2. High Accuracy and Precision: The ALSONIC Flow Meters offer an accuracy of ± 2% of the measured value and a repeatability of ± 1%., being consistent over a wide range of flow rates.
  3. Minimal Pressure Loss: The ultrasonic flow meter causes almost no pressure loss, as it does not obstruct the flow path with mechanical components. This is particularly beneficial in systems where maintaining pressure is essential for efficient operation.
  4. Integrated Features: The ultrasonic flow meter includes additional features such as Gas Bubble Detection, Glycol Concentration Measurement, and an integrated Temperature and Pressure sensors.

Ultrasonic Technology: How does it work?

An Ultrasonic Flow Sensor transmits and receives ultrasonic waves through the given medium. The time it takes for the sound waves both up and downstream is measured, calculating the rate of flow. This non-intrusive method improves the measuring accuracy along with reducing the maintenance demands –  Learn more about Ultrasonic Technology

Expanding Beyond Flow Measurement: Multifunction Capabilities

The ALSONIC Flow Meters can be upgraded to be multifunctional devices, by including temperature and pressure measurements within the same unit – this feature suits them appropriate to applications which require comprehensive monitoring.

An optional PT1000 temperature sensor can sit within the medium, coated in a stainless-steel sleeve, aiding the sensor to react faster to any temperature changes.

Material Choices and Configurations

Depending on the application requirements, Allengra offers the ALSONIC series in various materials and sizes, suitable for different operating conditions.

The sensors come in PPS, a very tough semi-crystalline plastic with high chemical resistance and are also certified for use in drinking water applications. Optionally, for the tougher mechanical conditions, the sensors can be ordered in durable, corrosion-resistant brass.

Range of Sizes and Outputs

Coming now in 8 nominal sizes, from DN15 to DN200, due to ALSONIC’s New Family Member, covering a large number of pipe diameters. Outputs include 0-5 V or pulse options with Mod bus as communication interface, ensuring compatibility with most industrial control systems.

Allengra’s flow meters can be customized to fit the requirements of any customer, through its OEM solutions. With such versatile compatibility for applications, these flow meters serve as the top choice for a reliable, accurate and efficient solution.

Threaded Connections and Sealing

The sensors come with threaded connections that range from ¾" to 2 ½" with flat sealing G-thread, offering easy installation and secure sealing, crucial for maintaining system integrity and preventing any leaks.
