Allengra is a company that prides itself on having a young team, while continuously looking for new, dedicated people. For this reason, at Allengra we offer internship opportunities for students and pupils.
Starting on July 14, those who applied for the internship took part in multiple activities within the company through our “pre-internship” program, designed to get to know Allengra in depth, with the aim of helping each student set their direction toward a specific sector from the 10 available within our company.
On the first day, they had the opportunity to visit Allengra’s headquarters and discover what a typical workday in the company looks like.
On the second day, things became a bit more interesting through team-building activities in which the interns split into two teams to encourage teamwork. Then, by reviewing a catalog, they had to identify the key areas in which Allengra is currently active, as well as note other areas we have not yet explored. Finally, they received a brief overview of the company through a PowerPoint presentation, where they also learned how an ultrasonic sensor works.
The third day was dedicated to all departments within the company. More specifically, each department head presented their department using various methods so that the interns could see where they would fit best during the internship. The most popular among the interns were software and 3D design.
Of the 6 interns, 4 are third-year students in Romania, and 2 are from Germany. Julius and Helena are 12th-grade students at Otto-von-Taube Gymnasium, a high school that collaborates, through a project called TUMKolleg, with the Technical University of Munich. During their stay in Oradea, they worked on developing a sensor for measuring airflow, which will be found in hoods for professional kitchen applications with automated air-extraction systems.
They were also asked to share their opinion about Allengra, as well as about the city of Oradea.

At the end of the pre-internship period, we were especially pleased to see not only that our students enjoyed this time, but also that all of them had made a clear decision about the sector in which they want to spend their internship period.
This pre-internship program was a success, and we want to continue implementing it in a 5-day format, every 3 months, for groups of 6 people, with the possibility of an internship of at least 2 months.
