In 2009 Allengra released the first generation of Ultrasonic Flow Meters for High Temperature applications for Water, Oils, Glycol and other liquids especially in the plastic injection industry for temperature control.

Based on ALSONIC, the new generation, of High Temperature Flow meters covers temperatures of up to 240°C. The body made exclusively out of stainless steel with no internal sealings is robust to handle long term temperatures of 220°C, and pressures of 40 bars. For short term peaks (<1 min) 240°C imposes no problem.

Durable & Versatile

Designed to meet the diverse demands of industrial and mobile applications, this ultrasonic flowmeter offers an exceptional range of features that redefine efficiency and reliability in liquids measurement:

  • Up to 220°C ( <1 min @ 240°C) – the used materials basically stainless steel allow an excellent temperature behaviour up to 240°C

  • Accuracy +-2% - the ultrasonic technology allows a very high and stable level of long-term accuracy with no drift

  • Compact Form – due to the compact form the sensor can be used in distribution groups

  • Robust against vibrations the Allengra design is based on the long experience in mobile applications including motorsports

  • Stationary applications - In stand-alone form as compact sensor solution

  • Mobile applications – On board flow metering for cooling liquids in automotive

  • Very low pressure drop – The sensor simulates a straight pipe leading to the lowest possible pressure drop

  • No need for straight pipe before and after the sensor – In case of complicated pipe geometries the sensor can be delivered with an internal flow straightener which dampens the effect of the inlet

  • Can be installed in any orientation – The accuracy is not influenced by the position

  • Non invasive technology – No obstacles in the flow, maintaining low pressure drop

  • Gas Bubble detection – This feature is steadily controlling the gas (air) bubbles that can be generated due to overheating or lack of pressure which would reduce the efficiency of the system - can occur in temperature control units

  • Integrated temperature sensor

  • Short response time of flow and temperature – In cases of tempering a short response time is decisive as a fast reaction can mitigate damages

  • Optional pressure sensor –  To avoid underpressure and overpressure an optional pressure sensor with a short reaction time completes the package

  • Suitable for all liquids - The sensor can be used for conductive liquids as water as well as non-conductive liquids such as oils

  • Outputs: such as MODBUS, Analog – a wide range of communication interfaces are available

  • Energy Metering Monitoring the energy to calculate the overall efficiency of the temperature control units
